Bergman’s first feature-length documentary is an affectionate view of his beloved Fårö, a small Swedish island in the Baltic Sea, remote and full of contradictions, where the filmmaker made a home for himself and shot some of his most famous films. A direct and surprisingly political portrayal of the islanders and their traditional way of life, fated to disappear.

Curated for the festival programme by a group of young programmers from Slovenia, aged 14 to 18, as part of the international project Young Programmers for Young Audiences! European Film Festival Network in collaboration with the Slovenian Cinematheque. With a short introduction by the young curators.
